Biography

Isabella is a senior concentrating in Political Science and Environmental Studies on the Environment and Inequality track. She is most interested in environmental justice, climate policy, and developing approaches to environmental sustainability that address inequality and repair past harms. This past summer, Isabella worked as a Research Assistant for the Climate and Development Lab investigating disinformation in Congress surrounding offshore wind and other renewable energy technologies; she will continue these efforts into the fall semester. Previously at Brown, Isabella wrote for the Brown Political Review on topics from billionaire philanthropy in the climate movement to the importance of affirmative action in education. She also co-founded the current Sunrise hub at Brown and went on to serve as communications co-lead. Now she is the community co-lead, working with local environmental justice organizations and advocating for environmental justice on campus and beyond. She is also currently serving on the diversity and inclusion committee at IBES. She would love to chat about campus activism, course selection, navigating the complications of double concentrating, and anything else that you may find helpful!
