Biography

Isabella is a senior from Connecticut concentrating in Environmental Studies on the Conservation Science and Policy track. She is a 2023-2024 Voss Fellow and is pursuing an Engaged Thesis focused on extreme heat and cooling centers in Providence. This summer she conducted research for her thesis while also working as a Public Health Scholar for the Rhode Island Department of Health. Last summer, Isabella was an IBES Summer Intern and worked in the Director’s Office at the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management. She is also a member of the Varsity Women’s Lacrosse team at Brown, and serves as a mental health liaison for her team. Over the past year, she has worked with organizations such as the Alex Archie Foundation and Morgan’s Message to help bring awareness to student-athlete mental health on campus. Her hobbies include baking with friends, drinking tea, and going on scenic hikes. She is happy to discuss her current or prior work experience, class selection, summer internships, favorite books, and anything in between!
