Cel Welch's primary research interests lie in engineering diagnostic devices and biosensors. Their main focal areas are currently cellular manipulation (with mechanical and electrical forces) and chemical detection. While some of Cel's research addresses biomedical topics such as cancer, they are also interested in engineering environmentally focused devices for chemical monitoring and water purification.
