Yaruska Ordinola academic area of interest is environmental health because she wants to research potential environmental hazards that affect public health and help protect the most vulnerable communities affected by it. Yaruska is currently looking at the relationship between manufacturing sites across Rhode Island and birth outcomes, for this she's using spatial analysis to assess these relationships and their links to environmental exposures.
