Zac is an environmental scientist and practitioner. His work focuses on water resource governance, and the social and biophysical complexities of decision making in transboundary hydrological systems. His dissertation examined adaptive governance in Australia’s Murray-Darling Basin. His professional experience includes large carnivore conservation and behavioral ecology. His expertise is problem-solving to improve the practice of environmental policy — making it more effective and inclusive of diverse perspectives and practices. At Brown, Zac is working on an interdisciplinary study of urban water scarcity in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa
