Associate or Full Professor in Climate and Health/Climate and Policy
IBES and the Brown University School of Public Health is seeking to hire an Associate or Full Professor for a tenure-track faculty position focused on climate and health. The position will be available for a July 1, 2025 start date.
The faculty member hired to this position will engage in a combination of research, education, and other strategic activities, including participating in Brown University’s Equitable Climate Futures Initiative. The ideal candidate will strive to be a thought leader on public health solutions to address climate inaction and to mitigate adverse health consequences of the changing climate through education, rigorous research, and advocacy. The successful candidate will be expected to sustain and grow an externally funded research program relevant to climate and health.
Primary appointment will be in the School of Public Health, with a joint appointment in the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society.
Community-Engaged Research Partnership Specialist
Based at the Swearer Center for Public Service, the Community-Engaged Research Partnership Specialist will be responsible for stewarding partnerships, outreach, and community engagement activities focused primarily on local collaborative research initiatives. The position will support research within IBES and the Division of Biology and Medicine, with specific focus on advancing Brown’s Equitable Climate Futures (ECF) initiative as well as the Brown Health Community Engaged Translational Research Core (BH-CEnTRC).
