Institute at Brown for Environment and Society

Ava is a senior double concentrating in Environmental Sciences and Studies (Environmental Justice and Health Track) and International and Public Affairs (Development Track). Throughout her time at Brown, Ava has taken a variety of ENVS, EEPS, and IAPA courses, gaining knowledge about climate solutions with an equity lens. In her junior year, she studied abroad in Amsterdam, where she fine-tuned her education in sustainability.

Outside of academics, Ava is involved in the Class Coordinating Board. She also conducts research on sense of place and environmental management with the Community-Driven Coastal Climate Research & Solutions (3CRS) social sciences team. In her free time, she loves to garden, crochet, travel, and walk on the beach with her dogs.

Ava enjoys talking about her experiences at Brown, so please don't hesitate to reach out. Whether you have questions about concentration requirements, course recommendations, research opportunities, studying abroad, SAS, or just want someone to help you navigate the highs and lows of college, she would love to help!
