Biography
Katie Silberman serves as Director of Strategic Operations at IBES, focused on implementing IBES’ 2023-28 Strategic Plan through mission-driven leadership in public and alumni engagement, strategic initiatives and communications.
Katie’s long-standing commitments to environmental equity and Brown University are both personal and professional. A loyal Brown alumna, Katie joined IBES in 2024 after nearly a decade on staff of Brown's Office of Government & Community Relations. Prior to working at Brown, Katie held leadership positions with non-profit organizations in the field of environmental health and justice policy.
Katie holds a BA (Honors) from Brown and a JD (Public Interest Law) from the University of California College of Law, San Francisco. As a mother of two, she believes deeply in creating a more just and sustainable world for future generations, and can often be found near a soccer field.
