Biography

Tom Howard's research aims to enhance our understanding of how humans are impacting the global water environment, and how it, in turn, is impacting us. His current work focuses on using remote sensing techniques to study water resources and carbon fluxes in arctic and boreal environments. Using remote sensing, numerical models, and field data, his work explores the natural and anthropogenic drivers behind shifts in global water quality, quantity, and distribution, as well as the spatiotemporal variability of these changes.
