Curt Spalding, Professor of the Practice of Environment and Society at IBES, will receive a Lifetime Achievment Award from SUNY Albany's Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, where he earned his Master of Public Affairs.
Spalding has spent his long career overseeing the preservation and revitalization of local ecosystems. Most recently, he served as New England's Regional Administrator of EPA. Prior to this role, he served as Save The Bay's Executive Director, where he developed the Save The Bay Center in Providence and oversaw ecosystem plans to restore and protect many of New England's iconic waters. Throughout his time in these roles, Spalding has worked to make New England a healthy and prosperous place to live for every resident.
Spalding will join a number of distinguished individuals at the awards ceremony. The honored individuals will be recognized for their outstanding contributions in the areas of political science, public administration, leadership, and continuing professional development. The ceremony will take place on October 20th in Albany, New York.
