Lynch gives keynote at UN climate change meeting

IBES Director Amanda Lynch has given a keynote presentation at a key climate change meeting in Bonn today.

Lynch, who is co-chair of the World Climate Research Programme, gave the presentation during the 10th Research Dialogue of an important sub-group within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The sub-group, the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice, involves collaboration across fields and developed the Research Dialogue with the goal of providing a space for discussion at the science–policy interface in support of action under the Paris Agreement.

Lynch's presentation, World Climate Research Programme: Science for Understanding, Science for Impact, described relevant research activities by the international science community and was well-received at the conference.
