Biography
Anna studies physical processes in the upper ocean, which is a critical component of the earth climate connecting the atmosphere and the deep ocean. She is particularly interested in the exchange of carbon dioxide, oxygen, nutrients, and other biogeochemical compounds between the upper ocean and the ocean interior due to small-scale processes. Her ultimate goal is to improve global ocean models. She is passionate about polar regions, where the sea-ice plays an important role in the air-sea interactions.
