Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences

Biography

Anna studies physical processes in the upper ocean, which is a critical component of the earth climate connecting the atmosphere and the ocean interior. She is particularly interested in modeling small scale processes such as instabilities at the submesoscale and smaller in order to improve global climate models. She finally likes to apply these new understandings to the high latitude environments, where the sea ice plays an important role in the air-sea interactions.
