Biography

Charlie Adams is a Senior from Falls Church City, Virginia, dual concentrating in Environmental Studies and Science (A.B.) as well as International and Public Affairs (A.B.) on the policy and governance track. As a peer advisor, Charlie seeks to empower the diverse and impassioned dreams of his peers while helping to grow a welcoming and engaged community of concentrators. As a student, Charlie is drawn to the politics and possibilities of the green transition, particularly regarding clean energy, conservation, and utilities. On campus, he reports on these issues for the Brown Political Review and the Possibly Podcast, a co-production of The Public’s Radio, IBES, and Brown’s Climate Solutions Initiative. Off-campus, he has conducted research at multiple environmental and policy think tanks, spent a semester as a legislative intern in the United States Senate, and a summer consulting on energy efficiency programs. Further off campus, Charlie spent a summer as a wilderness conservation crew member in the Bob Marshall Wilderness– an experience he is always eager to share about. Charlie is a former IAPA DUG leader and is perennially happy to talk all things double concentrating, internships, policy and governance, producing TV shows, maps, and plants.
