Biography

My research focuses on how forest management was deployed as a tool to respond to the colonial perception of West Africa as a “disease environment.” With this, I aim to demonstrate the interplay between forest management and public health interventions in the Gold Coast Colony from the Nineteenth Century to the Mid-1950s.
