Biography
My dissertation project explores how state-led land policies weaken the mobilization capacity of peasant and forest communities in the Brazilian Amazon, along with the political and environmental consequences of this demobilization. In addition, I am involved in a collaborative project that examines the political factors driving violence against environmental defenders in the Brazilian Amazon. Currently, I lead the collection of original household survey data across 195 rural communities in the state of Pará as part of this research.
