Biography

My research focuses on relationships between form and function of vertebrate skeletal muscle. My future work will examine the evolution and mechanics of the muscles that move animals' eyes around. I am also passionate about hands-on teaching and learning in marine sciences through field research where students can experience and ask questions about the environment (and changes to that environment) of the animals that they are studying.
