Biography
Heejeong is a Ph.D. graduate student in the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences. She is currently working with the Meredith Lab to study atmospheric nitrogen isotope. She is interested in the reactive nitrogen cycle and her research focuses on how emission regulation of nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide impacts production mechanisms and sources of atmospheric nitrate and sulfate in southern New England. This research will increase our understanding of particulate nitrate and sulfate formation in the atmosphere in the northeast of the US. This work will contribute to our understanding of future changes in air quality and climate responses to emission regulations.
