Biography

In her role as Academic Program Manager, Jeanne oversee all aspects of the Environmental Studies and Sciences (ENVS) undergraduate concentrations.  Her duties include keeping both faculty advisors and students appraised of concentration requirements & updates, assisting the IBES Curriculum Committee, administering proposals & scheduling for ENVS courses, organizing various undergraduate events, collaborating with the student peer advisors and ES DUG leaders, putting together the weekly student newsletter, and facilitating IBES Summer Internships & Voss Environmental Fellowships.  Jeanne also supports the Institute at Brown for Environment & Society's (IBES) graduate affiliates.

It is extremely gratifying to assist students, faculty and staff who are striving to solve environmental issues on both the local and global scale. I am so inspired by Environmental Studies & Sciences concentrators' exhaustive commitment to tackling the climate crisis and the support they provide each other in finding and implementing solutions.  - Jeanne Loewenstein
