Biography

My research investigates the relationship between ancient populations and the unique hydrological and geophysical conditions in the Fayum Depression in Egypt. I am particularly interested in how flooding, water logging and salinization of soil, and the fluctuations in of size of Lake Moeris influenced human behavior in the region over the course of Pharaonic Egypt.
