Meredith Parish is working on reconstructing temperature and hydroclimate over the past 1.1 million years using biomarkers preserved in the sediment of Lake Towuti located in Indonesia. Understanding temperature and precipitation variation in Indonesia can help us uncover the driving forces of climate in the Indo-Pacific Warm Pool, one of the most populated regions on Earth.
