Michael Neubauer

In one strand of his research, Michael Neubauer is investigating the impact of pollution on shrimp farmers in Vietnam. Over the past two decades, a new, factory-like form of shrimp production has become more common in the Mekong Delta. These "factories" emit pollution, though, that harms the traditional (non-factory) shrimp farmers nearby, so Michael and his co-authors want to study how the traditional shrimp farmers adapt, and what the government could potentially do to mitigate the impacts of the pollution.
