My ethnographic research investigates food sustainability projects in Orlando, Florida. I am currently focused on understanding the ways that the Black, Indigenous, and women of color who lead the food sovereignty movement in Orlando use a feminist ethic to facilitate political cohesion in and shape the political-ecological knowledge of the movement. I am especially interested in the ways this happens through food-growing.
