Abby Katz’s research interests are at the intersection of food, history, culture, policy and health equity. She is curious about the food environment— how individual food choices are shaped by physical/built, historical, policy and socio-cultural factors. Abby is particularly fascinated by food marketing as an aspect of the food environment, and plans to use mixed-methods to better understand these influences on Black and Latinx/e youth.
