
Jill Ouellette
Biography
Jill Ouellette serves as Administrative Coordinator at the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society (IBES), providing operational and logistical support to advance the Institute’s interdisciplinary mission in climate and sustainability research and education. In this role, she manages complex schedules, working closely with the Director and operational leadership to maintain records, budgets, and organize data and record-keeping systems, oversee facility management, support faculty, and assist the executive team with events and the development and execution of operational initiatives.
Jill brings nearly 20 years of experience as an Air Traffic Controller at high-profile airports, including Santa Monica, Phoenix, and Providence. This background instilled in her exceptional precision, focus, and composure under pressure—qualities she now applies to her work in academic administration. After leaving the FAA, she held finance and administrative leadership roles, most recently as Finance and Administrative Manager at VIO Media Group, supporting senior executives, managing invoicing and accounts payable/receivable, and coordinating travel. Earlier, as a taxonomist at OwnerIQ, she developed expertise in data organization, project training, and process improvement.
