Biography
Using the Community Earth System Model (CESM), I am investigating the profound effects of the Rocky Mountains (RM) on global seasonal circulations, especially in Pacific Ocean. I find that they intensify summertime North Pacific anticyclone (NPH) and winter Aleutian Low (AL) patterns, consequently shifting the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) southward. My research underscores the Rockies' crucial role in shaping global wind patterns, pressure systems, and energy transport.
